Tips for Caring for Hair to Stay Healthy

Many people may underestimate the health of hair because it is not as important as the health of the body. Actually, not taking care of your hair can actually cause various problems on the scalp that are quite annoying.

Here are some ways to take care of your hair, from tips on shampooing, regularly cutting the ends of your hair, to how to take care of your hair in hot weather:

1. By scheduling shampooing according to hair type

Some people may feel that the way to maintain healthy hair is to wash your hair often to make it look cleaner. In fact, the frequency of shampooing, whether it's two or three times a week, should be done based on hair type. This condition occurs because the natural oils that coat the scalp are difficult to pass through the hair, so it feels more dry. That's why, to reduce dryness of the hair, avoid washing your hair with shampoo too often.

2. Use shampoo and conditioner

Shampooing or washing hair without shampoo will certainly not be optimal in treating hair. Choosing a shampoo and conditioner that suits your hair type is quite important as a way to maintain healthy hair. Shampoo serves to clean the scalp of dirt, oil, and hair care products that were previously applied, such as lotions. Meanwhile, the use of conditioner is also important for treating hair. Conditioner contains essential ingredients, such as silicone, as well as special moisturizers called emollients. These ingredients function to coat the hair strands and fill the damaged hair section, so that the hair is always protected.

3. Routinely cut the ends of the hair

How to care for this one hair is quite important, especially when you have long hair. You see, the ends of the hair are the most prone to split ends and damage. If we allow damaged ends to grow, hair damage is unavoidable. It is also recommended that you trim the ends of your hair every 10 – 12 weeks. If you are someone who often uses a straightener, you should do this every 6-8 weeks. You can also get your hair done every three months at the salon if you can't cut your own hair.
